Your Shopping Bag is Empty

The first time the brand Aquazurra came on to my radar was when I noticed the to die for 'wild thing' sandals that almost everyone seemed to be wearing. From bloggers like Folake Huntoon of 'Style Pantry' to celebrities like Solange Knowles, these shoes, in a dizzying array of colors, were the it shoes of the season. Despite their appeal, I resisted buying them since I hate jumping on bandwagons. It's hard to covet something that has become so ubiquitous and so I forgot about the sandals and went on with my life.

Several months later and with winter fast approaching, I decided that it was time for me to buy a pair of black over the knee boots. I had some requirements that I realized would be hard to meet as soon as I started looking online. The all leather versions seemed somewhat tacky while the suede versions didn't seem like they could withstand the hardships of daily wear.

With limited options, and despite my misgivings of jumping on bandwagons, I decided to give the Stuart Weitzman 'All Legs' boots a go. With all the rave reviews, I figured that everyone couldn't be wrong and placed my order online. But I knew as soon as I tried them on that they weren't for me. I didn't care for the pointy toe, and the block heel, while sturdy and comfortable, did not give the air of sultriness I was looking for. They also had the unfortunate result of making my feet appear larger than they really are, a woman's worst nightmare. I wondered if I was being too picky, but there had to be something better out there,

But then I received a promotional Black Friday preview email from Farfetch. With inventory from hundreds of boutiques all over the world, these were the best odds of finding exactly what I was looking for. And I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I saw the 'All I Need' over the knee boots from Aquazurra, I knew they were perfect. They were the consummate blend of leather and suede with the sleek profile that would assure me of long and lean limbs. What more can a girl ask for?

While the boots are no longer available on Farfetch, you can purchase them at Saks 5th Avenue.
