It's the only one hour show dedicated to a single brand and you know exactly what I'm talking about if you were one of the more than 15 million + that watched the Victoria's Secret Fashion show yesterday evening. The show has come a long way since it's humble beginnings twenty years ago when it was held at Plaza to a select crowd of fashion insiders and no TV simulcast.

Now, it's a rite of passage for all the top models with the likes of Gisele Bunchden, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Miranda Kerr having had the honor of gracing the catwalk in the brand's lingerie and famous angel wings. So it's not surprising that today's top names like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner took their first turn at this year's Victoria's Secret show. With their huge social media presence, it makes sense to include them if only for the free publicity guaranteed to follow regardless of the controversy surrounding their rise to the top of the fashion world.

Personally, I don't really care who gets to walk the show. I tune in for the musical performances that have graced the show since 2001. Who can forget Justin Timberlake belting out 'Sexy Back' in 2006, Maroon 5 crooning to 'Moves like Jagger' in 2011 and my absolute favorite, Rihanna gyrating to the aptly titled 'Phresh Out the Runway' in 2012? Rihanna was supposed to reprise her role in this year's show but dropped out at the last minute, ostensibly to focus on finishing her long awaited album.
