Every week we feature a sustainable brand on our blog. This week's featured brand is Atelier Delphine.

If you're in search of affordable loungewear made from eco-friendly fabrics, then look no further than Atelier Delphine. Southern California cool meets Japanese fabrics, for this line from Japanese born but L.A. based designer Yuka Izutsu.

While Izutsu does not have fashion design or technical pattern making experience, she does come from a fine arts background where she honed her eye and passion for unique textiles and prints. With money cobbled together from savings as well as family and friends, she assembled a team with the skills she lacked, her husband the photographer, her friend the model and another set of friends became her pattern makers to launch the brand in 2011. There's nothing cheaper than sweat equity right?

Four years on, the brand is stocked in some of the trendiest boutiques in the US, Canada, Italy, Japan, Kuwait and Lebanon in addition to other online stockists. This is definitely a brand to watch.
