Cate Blanchett has done it again. She can always be counted on to bring it when it comes to the red carpet and she did not disappoint. The color of this Armani Prive gown was the perfect complement to her porcelain skin and the floral appliques added to the romance of this dress, unlike her usual edgier fare. While some may accuse her of having football shoulders, I loved the drama of the extravagant embellishments draping from her clavicles down to the plunge exposing just the right amount of cleavage.
Her hair, makeup and accessories did not detract and were the icing on the cake to this frothy concoction. This was the one thing that detracted from the runner up for best dressed, Daisy Ridley. Like Cate's, her Chanel Couture dress was romantic perfection perfectly complented by her shoes and jewelry. Unfortunately, the hair just didn't work for me. I thought it was too severe for the dress and wish she'd worn it in the soft bob that she normally sports. Regardless, both ladies looked fantastic, just as they should.
