Fashion Icon: Cate Blanchett

The late Joan Rivers regarded Cate Blanchett as a true 'Hollywood star', a ringing endorsement in an age of celebrity where talent is not a prerequisite for entry. I've watched Cate on the red carpet over the years and have always been struck by how refined she is in every way. Despite this, I love how she manages to take risks on the red carpet, somehow always pulling it off, just as she does on screen with the breadth of characters that she's played, with the awards to prove it. Cate is killing it, PERIOD.
