Amour Vert means green love in French, an apt name for a brand that plants a tree for every T-shirt sold and also because the founders, Christoph Fresee and Linda Balti, met and fell in love while building the brand. So far they've already planted 100,000 trees in North America, an amazing goal considering the brand was only launched in 2010. But it doesn't stop there.

In addition to planting trees, Amour Vert is committed to sustainable business practices such as using non-toxic dyes, sustainable fibers and a zero waste design philosophy. Furthermore, since their factory is in San Francisco close to the majority of their customers in North America, the brand lessens their carbon footprint. Considering that the fashion and textile industry is second only to oil as the most pollutant industry, every little bit helps.
