Every week we feature a sustainable brand on our blog. This week's featured brand is Nudie Jeans.

While Nudie Jeans Co. technically doesn't make clothing for women, I'd argue that the apparel industry has become increasingly androgynous. Just last week, Jaden Smith (son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith) was featured in a new ad for Louis Vuitton modelling a skirt. When it comes to jeans, the line is even more blurred with the trend toward 'borrowed from the boys' styles like boyfriend jeans.

With that said, what makes Nudie Jeans a winner in the sustainability stakes in their aptly named break- in, repair, reuse, recycle eco-cycle. The relationship with Nudie doesn't end once they sell you a pair of jeans. If you live near one of their repair stores around the world, they will repair your favorite pair for free. They're also happy to send you a repair kit free of charge if their repair stores are not conveniently located.

When your love affair with your jeans comes to an end, hand them in at one of the Nudie stores in London, Göteborg or Stockholm and get 20% off on a new pair. They're put up for resale after being washed and repaired, ready for their new owner to begin a new love affair with them. Everything that is beyond repair is recycled into yarn for new jeans or other items like rugs or woven camper stools.

In addition to denim, Nudie sells accessories, tees, knits and sweaters for adults as well as children which can be purchased online or at their stores and other retailers worldwide.
