My Style: Statement Winter Coat

While I loved living in Las Vegas, there was a part of me that longed for cooler temperatures so that I could justify the purchase of the variety of fabulous winter clothing available from puffer jackets to wool beanies. I got my wish when I moved to Chicago and then Minneapolis a few years ago. While I can't stand the cold, I love the colorful array of winter coats I've bought over the years.

Case in the point is this stunning wool winter coat from J.Crew. The lined and super soft Italian tweed is yellow with flecks of blue, red and cream that make it a standout piece for grey winter days. I paired it with a chunky wool sweater, jeans, one of my trademark hats and patent leather boots that I'm currently obsessed with.
